North Philadelphia extension

There is no fixed guideway urban transit system in North Philadelphia between Broad Street and the Schuylkill River. A subway beneath North 29th Street was first considered approximately 100 years ago.  Presently, SEPTA Route 48 carries a large number of passengers, with frequent service, while operating in the North 29th Street corridor. 

Two options are propsed:

 Option A - On surface 

Option B - Subway
